In my nearly 30 years of practicing dentistry, I have become a firm believer in the need to build a relationship of mutual trust with my patients. I am here to look out for your best interests regarding your dental health. Therefore, we don’t rush around here.

First Appointment

During your first exam, I will take time to get to know you, discuss your dental and general health priorities, create a chart of your periodontal (gum) health and take a complete set of photos that you can view (in addition to x-rays). Using the information from those photos, the periodontal chart and the x-rays, we will establish a plan together for solving your unique dental concerns.

We are very concerned about periodontal health in this office and will aid you in maintaining or returning your gums to a healthy condition, in a manner that is affordable to you. Adult patients will be scheduled for "cleanings" that are appropriate for their gum health after Dr. Penshorn has completed an overall dental health assessment at the first appointment. We schedule most children for both the overall exam and the "cleaning" at the first appointment.
